Choose by composition
A taller 4:5 or 3:4 canvas gives headlines, short paragraphs, and diagrams more room while occupying more of a phone screen.
A 1:1 canvas is simple to compose and easy to repurpose, but it provides less vertical room for an editorial slide.
A wide canvas can suit panoramas and charts. It offers less on-screen height, so keep text especially concise.
Prevent awkward crops
Build every slide from the same artboard and decide the ratio before you lay out the cover. That keeps the visual rhythm intact from the first swipe to the last.
Leave breathing room around headlines, page numbers, logos, and calls to action. Edge-to-edge backgrounds are fine; essential copy should not depend on the outermost pixels.
Prepare the whole sequence in one orientation before upload. If a source image has another ratio, crop it intentionally or place it within your chosen canvas.
Export checklist
